Alimentazione ridondante con un solo alimentatore in NetEye

Durante l’implementazione di NetEye in un data center si é posta la problematica di allimentare l’appliance di NetEye, il quale ha solo un alimentore interno, da due sorgenti di corrente alternativi. Come soluzione l’appliance é stata collegata ad un Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) dell’ APC modello AP7721.

Nel caso in cui, per una qualsiasi ragione la sorgente di corrente primaria non fosse disponibile, l’ATS installabile a rack si commuta automaticamente sulla sorgente secondaria senza alcuna soluzione di continuità per il NetEye collegato.

l’APC ha una connettività di rete incorporata che consente la gestione remota attraverso interfacce Web, SNMP, o Telnet. Il SNMP viene sfruttato da Nagios per realizzare un check sull’APC stessa per verificare il corretto funzionamento dell’ACP e per notificare eventuali problemi di allimentazione all’APC stessa.
