Per aziende ben strutturate e’ importante tener traccia di ogni operazione effettuata, notando tutte le risorse utilizzate per lo svolgimento del task. Questo concetto e’ valido anche per le operazioni di manutenzione ordinaria, come ad esempio il controllo di un ciclo di backup.
Sarebbe molto utile creare dei ticket in OTRS che non solo ci ricordano della operazione da effettuare, ma che tengano traccia di ogni dettaglio relativo al task in questione.
Jens Bothe di OTRS, tra l’altro relatore alla conferenza Nagios in programma il 12 Maggio, ha scritto un interessante script, che permette di creare ticket in automatico, da un file ics, generato da un applicazione calendario. Lo script, inoltre, utilizza l’interfaccia SOAP per comunicare con il sistema OTRS.
