Are you looking for a solution that allows you to manage issues and projects with Roadmap technology?
Jira Software might be right for you, and the interesting thing is that you can try it out for free! In this article I’ll explain how.
Choose the combination of Atlassian products that you think will help you such as Jira Software with Jira Service management or Jira Software with Confluence.
Once you’ve created your site you can try to create your first Roadmap.
First of all you need to create your first project: click on Projects and choose “Create Project”.
Now choose the Kanban template.
In the newly created project, select Kanban board and click at the top on “…” then choose “Board Settings”:
Now click on Roadmap (Beta) and activate the feature.
You are now ready and you can create your Milestones (Epics) and Tasks.
Suppose you want to create a project to move one of your offices to a new location.
Create all the necessary milestones and click on Create Epic and add the tasks necessary to achieve the goal by clicking on Add a child issue.
You can also link milestones to each other and move them with a simple Drag & Drop.
Test, assign tasks to your users, see which ones are completed, and easily keep track of the whole project!
Finally, make sure that your new office has a nice view, so on one of those terrible days when everything looks “black” you can look out the window and smile and think “ahhh, not so bad”.
After exploring all the features, did you realize that you would like something more? Follow this link where you can also see the “Advanced Roadmap” feature available for Jira Software Premium subscriptions.
