NetEye adopted by the main European University
Giuseppe Arrabito, System Architect and Open Source specialist at La Sapienza
After the University of Bologna, Udine and Trento also the largest Italian business school La Sapienza in Rome has installed NetEye. Key decision factors according to the IT department of La Sapienza were the easy integration of the solution into the existing infrastructure and its Open Source business model, providing more openness in adapting the solution to individual requirements and assuring lower investment and maintenance costs compared to varoius commercial offerings on the market.
“With the adoption of NetEye we have been able to perform an effective and efficient monitoring of all our systems and services. The response time of the service desk has been minimized and we are now promptly notified in case of problems in order to prevent any inconveniences timely”, says Giuseppe Arrabito, Systems Architect and Open Source specialist at La Sapienza. La Sapienza will also introduce standardized Service Management processes according to the ITIL standards and the Asset and Inventory Management modules integrated in NetEye. Considering the number of students, with more than 130,000 inscriptions La Sapienza University is not only the main Italian business school, but the largest university all over Europe.
