Our contribution to the SFScon

This year we again took an active part in the South Tyrol Free Software Conference “SFScon”, an annual Italian conference dedicated to new technologies in the field of Open Source and Free Software.  400 participants joined the event, with sessions divided into parallel tracks about “DevOps”, “AI & Analytics”, “Best Practices” and “Data Infrastructure & Workshop”.

Susanne gave a speech on the topic of AI.  She gave a sample of the influence of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning on IT Monitoring and System Management practices, underlining the role of advanced statistics and machine learning compared to current and common practice when extracting insights from multiple data sources.

On the very same day as the conference, the “Vertical Innovation Hackathon” started with our challenge presented by Georg:  Conceiving of an app solution with data enrichment provided by IOT and sensors to improve the living conditions of society in the Safety field.  What came of it all?  24 hours full of activities for creative developers – knowledge sharing, networking and best practice experience for all participants.
See some of Susanne’s impressions on the event.
