Customer experience sharing at the fourth edition of the NetEye User Group

The fourth edition of the NetEye User Group has been held last week in Bologna. The event, with the aim of experience exchanging on specific application areas, proved to become an important meeting occasion for the users.
Cineca, who hosted the User Group, presented the introduction of NetEye for a comprehensive monitoring strategy in a highly complex IT environment. The main goal of the project was to reduce the redundant checks of the previous solution for a faster discovery of the IT failures by preventing possible inefficiency in case of changes in the IT environment. Cineca thanks to the adoption of NetEye was able to optimize the monitoring of all the resources and to increase the quality of the services through a complete control of the entire IT infrastructure.
The IT service management approach in Came

Cristiano Bedin presents the adoption of NetEye and OTRS at Came

Great interest was gained by the presentation of the integration of service management processes based on ITIL standards by the automated doors and gates producer Came. Cristiano Bedin, ICT manager of Came, reported on his experiences with NetEye to manage the entire infrastructure and  intervene proactively to avoid problems on the availability and performances of the services. A more rapid detection of bottlenecks on business critical services represents, in fact, an important contribution to the company’s competitiveness. Thanks to the integration of OTRS into NetEye Came has adopted a complete solution that supports also the IT service management processes by structuring all requests from the users in a central system.

Enhancements of the product portfolio

Highlights of the solutions were finally presented by Georg, who explained the main innovations in the latest released version and the recent developments in the integration of OTRS with the existing NetEye offer. In functional terms, NetEye includes extensive enhancements in the business process monitoring, in the NetEye Mobile App and in the innovative end – user experience approach. In addition, the release comprises a completely renewed interface with a simple customizable dashboard and a central user account management system. Another focus of the development was the optimization of the log auditing and the SLA reporting.

Al’exa as an important building block
In addition to the advanced graphical enhancements the integration of Al’exa module represents one of the new key features of the release. Al’exa simulates the end – user interactions to control the availability and reliability of the IT services. Valuable statistics about the behavior of systems and applications can be collected and recorded as the data performance. The extension thus enables more focused monitoring of user performance and offers extensive opportunities for further analysis with the traditional monitoring systems. The module will be also presented at the OSMC the 22nd -24th of October in Nuremberg.
