The eighth edition of our NetEye & EriZone User Group was held last Thursday – 20 October in Trento. The event dedicated to our customers is a proven model that provides a sharing platform to actively participate in the definition of our solutions’ new evolution phase.
The event started with the presentation of Daniele Gottardi who introduced the holistic monitoring approach with NetEye at Ferrari Spumante. “NetEye monitors our entire infrastructure by integrating also specific IoT controls such as the sensors in the vineyards or the checks on the wine-making tanks. It is a system that adapts to each OS and covers our monitoring needs on 360 degrees. ” stated Gottardi, ICT manager at Ferrari F.lli Lunelli.
Afterwards Massimo Giaimo, Senior System & Network Administrator at Informatica Bancaria Trentina, offered his keynote on the adoption of NetEye as a strategic asset control. Providing IT outsourcing and banking services, for the IBT Group is essential to implement a solution as NetEye to guarantee and certify the agreed SLAs and control through a proven monitoring strategy the complex and heterogeneous IT environment.
After the use cases, Francesco Melchiori illustrated the End User Experience monitoring project, Alyvix. Francesco focused mainly on the monitoring challenges for the Cloud Services. “Alyvix” he explained “ia a visual synthetic monitoing: Visual because Alyvix looks at graphic interfaces; Synthetic because it behaves like a human and monitoring because alyvix tracks all the transaction performances”
The event was also characterized by the presentation of the latest NetEye version. Georg Kostner introduced the main innovations planned for the next release as the new Asset Management with GLPI 0.90, the user management for the Kibana Dashboards, an improved security and new capabilities for the Service Level Management. “The digital transformation is radically changing the way we do business. – stated Georg – “The business is reorganized through digital services: social media, mobile devices, Cloud, Big Data and IoT – bringing new challenges for the IT management. NetEye meets these needs by providing new infrastructure and application monitoring metrics, analytics for the End-User Experience and core business servicess and finally integrates indexes to control the so-called Internet of Things .
Finally, the official announcement of the the next major release of EriZone was the big surprise of the event. “A modern design, a new touch experience to increase the productivity and improve the compatibility these will be the main innovations of the new version” announced Nicola Degara “EriZone 5 will be available next January. It will offer scalability, optimized performance, more security and integrations with external systems. ”
The day ended with the workshop in which participants were divided into different groups and were asked to define new areas for improvement for EriZone and NetEye. Phase that demonstrated how essential is to listen to the voice of users and get crucial information to align our solutions with their real needs.
Traditional IT management is revolutionized by the latest technological innovations: today an IT System & Service Management solution should provide control metrics for IoT, cloud services and manage in a centralized way the archived big data. NetEye meets these needs by providing new control metrics on the infrastructure, applications, end-user experience as well as by storing and displaying analytical data on Cloud Services and IoT. In the area of Service Management with EriZone, however, the market requires the adoption of a continuous improvement model to ensure optimum levels of customer service and to be competitive at the enterprise level thanks to a structured service management.
Let me conclude, by taking the opportunity to thank all the participants and the speakers who provided their valuable contribution in this day.
