Der Servicekatalog ist ein zentraler Punkt der ITIL Best Practices. Nicht selten bildet er sogar den Ausganspunkt für die Implementierung einer ITSM-Strategie. EriZone ist ein ITSM-Tool, welches die Umsetzung eines Service Catalogue Management unterstützt. Seit dem letzten Release, also mit Version 5.1, ist nun auch die Mehrsprachigkeit des Servicekatalogs möglich, um den Anforderungen internationaler Service Provider und derer Kunden zu gerecht zu werden.

EriZone 5.1 ermöglicht die Mehrsprachigkeit sowohl im Kunden- als auch im Agent-Frontend. Dabei werden die Services anhand der Spracheinstellungen in den Kunden- bzw. Agent-Präferenzen übersetzt.
Um die Services zu übersetzen, muss der ganze Service-Name im EriZone Sprach-File zugewiesen werden (Kernel/Language/xx_XXXX.pm) ex. Kernel/Language/it_Services.pm:
Die Übersetzung erfolgt von links nach rechts. Im oben stehenden Beispiel bedeutet das, dass wenn ein Unter-Service des ‘IT Services::[002] Network’ dessen Name nicht komplett übersetzt ist, wird der vorherstehende Teil trotzdem übersetzt (siehe Fig. 1).
